Optics Bracket
This 1-7/16" x 1-5/8" x 9/16" die cast bracket consolidated four parts, reduced assembly time 50%, and contributed to the functionality of a laser scanner.

Computer Connector
This precision .350" x .177" x .224" die cast connector replaced a two-piece screw machine assembly, reducing unit cast by 85%.

Fuel Fitting
MCC designed this zinc die cast fuel fitting to replace a three-piece assembly for an outdoorsman's cooking stove. The redesign reduced cost by 56% and even reduced weight.

MCC, with its four-slide and conventional die casting machines, produces complex components with tight tolerances. Tolerances of +/- .002" are routinely held, and in certain applications, +/- .0005". This level of accuracy is consistent and repeatable over the entire life of the part. MCC's mature ISO quality system provides customers with product that meets or exceeds requirements by utilizing FMEA's, PPAP's, SPC and Continuous Improvement.
  • Low component costs
  • Lower assembly costs
  • Tight, dimensional tolerances
  • Complex shapes and geometries
  • Thin wall sections
  • High mechanical properties
  • Good physical properties
  • Excellent surface quality

Zinc die casting alloys offer a number of design advantages and often provide cost savings over screw machine parts, stampings or other molding processes. Moreover, these alloys offer mechanical and physical properties that exhibit excellent heat-transfer capability and electrical conductivity. Zinc alloys also feature excellent damping capacity and machinability. When proper design is combined with effective part processing, zinc die castings accept a wide variety of surface finishes for enhanced corrosion protection, aesthetic appeal and engineering properties.

Available Alloys
